What does SETA do?
We connect students with investors with the goal of raising a fund to purchase a company. Immediately after graduation, investors pay the students a salary to "search" for a company to buy. Once it's found, the students buy the company with investor capital and get sweat equity in the company. The students become the CEO with the goal of scaling then eventually selling the company typically in 5-7 years.
What is ETA?
Entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA) is a business model that involves buying and growing an existing small business instead of starting a new one. ETA entrepreneurs, often called "searchers", typically purchase a majority share of the company and become the CEO. They then operate and grow the business, sometimes with the goal of selling it again for a profit within a few years.
